  1. Notebook, Browser, VS-Code (Any IDE with integrated terminal )
  2. An active Azure subscription. Here you have 2 options which doesn't involve any costs to you:

    1. Students: 100$ credit for 12 months + additional free services + doesn't require a credit card.
      You have to confirm student status (email with university domain is required. If MD universities offers such.).

During the course:

  1. We will get acquainted with the key concepts of cloud technologies, we will figure out why they are needed and what types of cloud architectures are.
  2. We will study the three main models of cloud services provided by cloud providers (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  3. We will analyze what data storage solutions are offered by Microsoft Azure and which of them is better suited for various scenarios (Storage Accounts, Azure Databases, Data Lakes, Queue Storage).
  4. Data Security: We find out what solutions are provided by Microsoft Azure to ensure the safety of storage and work with data in the cloud.
  5. Azure Compute: Virtual Machines - We will learn how to unfold, choose the optimal SKU, scale, set up and control the virtual machine life cycle.
  6. We will deal with Azure App Services/Web Applications, in which scenarios to use them, scaling and balancer loader, CI/CD, monitoring and best practices.
  7. We will learn how to work with Function Apps and Logic Apps, we will understand the difference between them and in which cases it is better to use one or another solution.
  8. More than just the theory: we get Hands-on Experience to work with Microsoft Azure thanks to numerous demonstrations, homework and joint work on a common project.

At the end of the course you can:

  1. To evaluate and choose a suitable cloud architecture for various business scenarios, taking into account the advantages and restrictions of cloud technologies.
  2. Determine when using the IaaS, PaaS and SaaS models, and set them up independently in Azure in accordance with the requirements of the project.
  3. Choose suitable solutions for data storage in Azure, configure and optimize it for different scenarios, ensuring data security.
  4. To deploy and control virtual machines, web applications, Function and Logic Apps in Azure, choosing optimal configurations, scaling and controlling them with a life cycle.

The knowledge gained will help you to start a career as:
